Very nice placement If you need parking right at the station
Great parking in Malaga, just under the station. Good pricing for the area, especially if you plan to park for a few days - highly recommend to pre-book online. Easy to book online, entrance was easy to locate and the barcode was recognised by the machine and we went in with no difficulties. The entrance is a bit narrow with the turn, but nothing too bad. The spaces are quite wide and high ceiling means even rhe bigger cars can easily fit in.
Maps incorrectly identify the entrance to the Saba parking as being in front of the train station. You have to turn right just before the station, and slide left. Look for sign Parking Vialia. The entrance could be challenging for longer cars. QR code if you paid in advance, cannot be read at entrance, push the button to get the ticket. When you park, take the ticket to the reception (where lifts are), there you have to show the confirmation email from Saba to get your ticket linked to your advance payment. You have to produce the same ticket to the reception to be able to exit the parking. Otherwise parking is no different from any other parking in Spain, spaces are narrow. I would give it 5 star when they install the QR readers at entrance and exit.
The parking is great as the carpark is just underneath the train station. But the communication and online information is abysmal. I paid online to reserve a parking space and was sent a confirmation email with a QR code to present at the barrier. However the reader does not read the code nor are there instructions what to do if this fails. In desperation I ring the button at the barrier and am told that "no, the QR code does not work, please come in and go to the ticket office". Why would they send out this false information causing a huge amount of stress? I nearly missed my train trying to sort it all out. For whoever wants to pay online, be aware that the QR code you are sent does not work and so you should not waste your time trying to scan it at the barrier. Simply press the button to get a normal ticket, go and park your car and when you want to leave go to the ticket office with your ticket and your email proving you paid online and they will validate your ticket with no problem at all. The ticket office is open 24 hours. It is worth paying online as you save some money and also it guarantees you a place.
